In the period covered by the registers, people did not limit their fertility. As a result, families had ten or more children if the spouses married at around the age of 20. In the Vachuška family, there are even spouses who conceived more than ten children.
Václav Vachuška and Johanna, born Poleníková, conceived a total of 13 children. Václav and Johanna conceived children for an incredible 26 years, and their children were born between 1783 and 1808. The first birth was twins.
